The House of Munch: Deployment

This morning, as the first light of dawn stretched across Hidden Valley Lake, we embarked on a journey unlike any other. Today marks night one of our deployment to Southern California, where The House of Munch is proud and humbled to join the 2025 Wildfire Resource Hub. Our mission is clear: to provide emotional support services to those impacted by the devastating fires. Our hearts are full, and our purpose has never felt stronger.

This journey was made possible by an angel donor who generously provided the resources we needed to take action. To this donor, we extend our deepest gratitude—you’ve not only fueled our vehicle but also our spirits and determination. Because of you, we can be here, ready to stand beside those who need us most.

After nine hours on the road—winding through miles of ever-changing landscapes and reflecting on what lies ahead—we arrived in Woodland Hills, just outside Los Angeles. The drive was long, but every mile brought a sense of anticipation and a deeper connection to our purpose. Tonight, we are staying with family, sharing stories and laughter in the warmth of their hospitality. It’s a brief pause—a moment to prepare—before we reach our final destination tomorrow.

We are filled with excitement as we prepare to join an incredible team at the Wildfire Resource Hub. Together, we’ll offer not only services but also the reassurance that no one walks this path alone. The road ahead is challenging, but the opportunity to make a difference makes every step worthwhile.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our journey. We’ll be sharing stories, moments, and reflections from the field—snapshots of hope, resilience, and the power of community. We’re here, Southern California, and we’re ready to help.

Thank you for following along on this journey with us. If you’re moved by our mission and want to support what we’re doing, please reach out. Together, we can make a difference.

With hearts full of hope,
The House of Munch Team
