The House of Munch: Day 3 – A Powerful Start at the Resource Hub

Today marked our first day at the 2025 Wildfire Resource Hub, and what an extraordinary day it was. As the morning began, hundreds of people flowed through the hub—each bringing their story of survival, loss, and, above all, resilience. Our role in registration allowed us to connect with these individuals, offering not just assistance but also a listening ear and a moment of shared humanity.

The sheer scale of the operation was staggering: tents stretching across the grounds, crates stacked high with supplies, volunteers tirelessly moving through lines, computers humming with activity, and a steady buzz of coordinated energy. It should have been chaos—but it wasn’t. Each person worked their position with precision and purpose, creating a system that was smooth, cohesive, and deeply effective. It was a masterclass in collaboration, and we were honored to be a part of it.

Hearing the stories of so many who have lost everything was humbling. Yet, what stood out most was the hope that so many of them still carried. Despite the devastation, the resilience of this community is indescribably inspiring. Their determination to rebuild, to find joy again, and to press forward is a testament to the strength of the human spirit.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude to have our small Middletown foundation play a role in this monumental effort. Through this opportunity, we’ve been given the chance to touch thousands of lives, and that realization fills us with awe.

Tomorrow, we begin offering emotional support services with a new team impact goal. We’re excited to dive deeper into our mission and continue to serve this incredible community. For tonight, we’ll rest with full hearts, knowing that this amazing adventure has only just begun.

Thank you for following along with us. Together, we can make a difference.

With gratitude and purpose,
The House of Munch Team
